Nag Arnoldi "L'elan"

This sculpture, created in 1984 by Mr. Nag Arnoldi, a world renowned Swiss sculptor, was donated on February 7, 1999 by the IOC President, Mr. Juan Antoinio Samaranch, to the City of Nagano to celebrate the success of the 18th Olympic Winter Games , Nagano 1998. The bronz sculpture entitled "L'elan" represents the Olympic flag , carried aloft by five stylized athletes, entering the stadium at the Opening Ceremony of the Games
